SENIOR CAPSTONE SHOWCASE

PODCAST LOUNGE

LIVE STUDIO SET CONCEPT

For my final showcase project, I had the privilege of presenting a creation that encapsulated my journey at SCAD—a journey filled with creativity, exploration, and discovery. As I approached this final project, I was given the freedom to develop something entirely new. Initially, this freedom puzzled me, as there were many projects I was eager to tackle. However, one idea consistently stood out: creating a live podcast studio.

Throughout my time at SCAD, my roommate and I engaged in numerous thought-provoking conversations that led to many personal discoveries. These conversations have been transformative, leaving me with the belief that sharing them could profoundly impact others as well. For this final project, I aimed to design a space that would not only house these meaningful conversations but also replicate the environment that fostered such deep and insightful discussions over the years.

This is the concept and vision behind creating a live podcast studio.

the CRUCIBLE RE-DESIGN

the wild west - reverend parris SALoON location design

In my scenic design studio class, I embraced the challenge of reimagining Arthur Miller's classic play, "The Crucible," while staying true to its core themes and characters. My vision entailed transplanting the narrative to the rugged landscape of the American Wild West. I presented a detailed digital model depicting Reverend Parris's saloon, supplemented by additional scenic renderings that painstakingly captured the essence and ambiance of a frontier town as depicted in "The Crucible," albeit within a Western-inspired context.

Make it stand out

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

RE DESIGN package

For my scenic design studio class, we were assigned the challenge of reimagining the original script of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" while retaining its core themes and characters. My concept involved transforming the setting into a circus atmosphere. I presented a finished 1/4 scale model along with eight costume renderings or sketches, capturing the essence of the characters within this circus-inspired context. Additionally, I created four lighting plots specifically tailored for the major dance numbers, enhancing the theatrical experience within this new interpretation.

TANGLED “ON ICE”

In my Designing the Environment class, I undertook a unique project that required selecting a Disney story or character and reimagining it for "Disney on Ice." I chose the story of Tangled. My completed design package featured costume designs for the three principal characters, along with stage and set designs for five scenes, including detailed projection plans.
